My Paper Crafting Studio, Storage

It's Saturday! Yea! I LOVE Saturday! It is going to be a rainy one here in Georgia today! And we are already at 90% humidity! Guess that means I don't have to worry about fixing my hair today! 'Cause it won't matter how much effort I put into making it cute today!!

I am going to try something different for the next few Saturdays - I would share with you pictures of my scrap space & organization. I always LOVE to look at pictures of how other paper crafters organize and set up their work space. I tend to go over pictures of peoples craft spaces with a fine tooth comb trying to take in every little detail. I’m sort of a voyeur when it comes to seeing how everyone else sets up their space! So, in that spirit I am going to share mine!! Also, for upcoming Saturday posts I am planning of sharing further details on how I store paper, acrylic stamps, etc.~ so check back to see more!

My craft space is in our bonus room. And, it is the room I spend most of my waking hours (seriously)… because, it is the same space where I work for my J.O.B. So, quite literally, this is MY office slash craft studio! When I’m working my J.O.B. my view is my craft closet & table. I often day dream about the next opportunity to craft! And, vise versa, when I’m crafting I have to keep my mojo close to my heart because my craft tables direct line of vision is my J.O.B. desk!

Check out the masked mirrors on the wall~ I LOVE those mirrors! I'll have to show you those in a close up blog post soon. They are adorable! And, easy to do! I made those in last years Heidi Swapp, big picture scrapbooking, A year to remember class.

Luckily, when we moved into this house the previous owners had built-in shelving and drawers in the closet. They used it as a game closet. However, when I first saw it I KNEW this was going to be my space!! And, may have encouraged my feeling of “this house is perfect for us” feeling!! (In our previous house I had ¼ of the stash I do now and no dedicated space- other than a box that I stored in the floor of a hall closet! So, yes, I feel very blessed to have this space I have now! I even wonder if unconsciously I purchase more stuff to add to my stash because I know I have the space to store it! UGH! I hope my DH does not read this blog post! ;)

Inside the closet drawers are my Stampin Up! Stamp sets and the space is becoming more and more cramped! I have been contemplating moving a dresser into my space to utilize its drawer space. I prefer to organize my stamp sets in drawers with each drawer organized for style of stamp set. i.e.: 1.) Letters, back grounds & greetings 2.) Flowers & Animals 3.) elements. Currently the fourth drawer contains storage for adhesives, glitter & embossing powders. However, soon I will have to delegate those items to a box on the shelf! J

Also, The shelves contain items such as: foam stamps & acrylic paint, sizzlits, quickutz, dies & envelopes. The top of the closet stores books, card stock & patterned paper, scrapbook refills, magazines (that I can’t seem to give up), etc.

Closet Doors WIDE open!

This is the storage next to my craft table. Having them so close at hand helps me when I'm crafting. All I have to do is swivel in my chair and I've got punches, inks, stamps, stickers, masks, et. close at hand. Since taking this picture I have put the smaller drawer set and clip it up inside the closet. But, for the most part it is still the same as the pic.

Have a Wonderful Weekend!
