Tuesday Card Post~My goal with these cards is to show the differences in a 10 minute card vs. a 2o minute card, using the same
Stampin Up! Stamp Set:
Looks like Spring. So, the question is, How much time do you have?? ;)Ten Minute Card: Stampin Up!
Card stock in: Wild
Wasabi, Summer Sun, Bravo Burgundy.
Stampin Up! Craft Ink in: Garden Green, Chocolate Chip & Bravo Burgundy. Being a 10 minute card (including clean up) this is pretty straight forward. One of the
KEWEL things about
Stampin Up! sets like "Looks like Spring" is using the elements to create background depth &
dimension on the
card stock.
20 Minute Card: This one is so much prettier in person. I wish the scan showed all the details and shimmer! Aw-well... Stampin Up! Card stock: So Saffron, Bordering Blue, Chocolate Chip & Basic Black. Stampin Up! Craft Inks: Brocade Blue, Versa Mark, So Saffron, Chocolate Chip.
Other products: Stampin Up! Clear embossing powder, stickles, Cuttlebug embossing template, Stampin Up! Boho Blossoms handheld punch, white pen, Stampin Up! Chocolate Chip grossgrain Ribbon, sewing machine, water brush, water color paints.
Techniques: Clear emboss large flower. Once dry use water colors to paint background- leaving water color brush strokes in paper; once dry stamp w/ diagonal stamp & brown stayz on ink. Mat each piece multiple times, create doodle dots on outer center mat. Stitch ribbon using sewing machine. Dry emboss background paper. Again, much prettier in person. The yellow is softer than it appears and the overall look is more "preppy" IRL.
