Pocket Silhouettes, Card

Here's a cute and easy card! I've admired this stamp set ever since I saw it for the first time! My mind is going in circles with all kinds of ideas for it. I think it is a versatile set. DH and I were in Borders bookstore today and I saw a card from papertrey that inspired me for this design. I love how it came out!

Witching You, Card

Another Halloween Card for ya. Using the same stamp set as the post before. This time I made the card a larger size giving me more room to add to the top of the kettle.

Mr. Frog is popdotted and has moving eyes
used the stars to create a background image on the main card-doesn't show up well in the scan tho.

Haunting Halloween, Card

I'm feeling proactive! I actually made the first of my Halloween cards! These were so much to make because I took some time and used some different techniques that I haven't used in awhile.

Recipe
Stampin UP! stamp set: Haunting Halloween
SU card stock: Tangerine Orange (09 in-color), Whisper White, Lovely Lilac
SU Craft Ink: Basic Black
SU punch: Circle punch, corner squares
Other: yellow glitter, SU black chalk, circle punch, SU markers, orange chalk ink

Description
1.) to create the cloud skyline I created a circle mask by cutting various sizes of circles and glued them together. Using black chalk I softly dabbed on the chalk and moved the mask around the paper. 2.) The moon is circle cut from yellow paper and chalked edges with orange chalk ink then glittered with yellow glitter.

Upsy Daisy plus Inspired by Nature, Card

hehehhe, yet another Upsy Daisy card for you! And, again in this card I combined it with the Inspired by Nature set. DH says this is his ALL time fave! WOW! I was inspired by the gallery at split coast stampers! What a fun place to visit! It is all mounted on a white card and that just pulls out the white from the pattern paper tearing! Cute!

I pulled out my needle and thread and made some stitch lines along the inside of the pink strip. Most days I don't want to bother threading a needle, but I found this technique another little stress reliever! Can't have enough of those in my life, HA!

Dreams Du Jour, Card

A few weeks passed since I stamped the black and white images for this card. You ever been in one of those "funks" when you just don't want to do anything? I finally forced myself to sit down and color in the images and put this card together. I am excited about the outcome! A cute, sweet card, even if my mood during it's creation was not. Maybe there is something to be said about just "doing it" because now I feel much better! This card makes me smile :)

Scrapbook LO

Did anyone make it to your Local Archivers Scrapbook store this weekend? I was lucky enough to go this past Saturday. They had lots of special make-n-takes. One of the projects was this 2 page LO. I added pictures from our NY trip. Cute! Why don't I ever think of designs like this? Lovin' the blue/brown combo! If it weren't for Archivers, what would I do with my time?

Punches, storage

For those of you who like & use punches you know how difficult it is to find a place and organize them~ they are very bulky and as my collection grows they have quickly become a sore spot in my craft room. This weekend my sweet husband was nice enough to go to our local Wally World and pick up one of those over the door shoe organizers to help me organize my punches! Now, I love looking at them hanging over my door. But, like most things in my scrap room~ I will quickly run out of spots to put them! And, when I receive my latest order from the NEW SU catalog I will be receiving 3 more to add to my growing collection! Oh my!

The "shoe" organizer also came with hooks that fit perfectly over the door!
I am very pleased! Thanks Matt (DH)! :)
PS: Now I have an empty drawer where my punches used to be located! Yea!! More shopping!!

From the Garden, Card

This is very similar to the group of cards I posted earlier. But, I am attempting to make it better. And, this time I chose to use a different stamp. It's hard to go wrong with black, white & red! When I do this again, with different colors, the only thing I'd like to change is make the scallop edge a bit longer so it comes closer to the bottom of the card and is more centered on the white card stock.

So, I have the cricut (expression & baby bug), I have quickutz, I have a sidekick, I have a passed down (from my favorite sister) original lever sizzix (which my sister gave up because she got a BIG SHOT) How many die cut machines does a crafty girl need?? Now I just got to figure out ~ from all the stuff in the new catalog, which do I want FIRST?!? These type of dilemmas will make me crazy! :) Or, am I already crazy? Crazy, did someone say Crazy??!!

Some lucky SU Demos are currently in Salt Lake for the 2008 SU convention. I am so jealous!! I'm keeping my fingers crossed that the convention will come my way sometime soon so I can participate! Those demonstrators left behind (like me) resort to blog surfing to find out the latest information on the upcoming NEW SU product and catalog, etc. So, I thought I would share some of my fave pictures demos are sharing on their blogs. Designer papers, new colors and new designs...

A Cupcake Background stamp, I LOVE Cupcakes! I envision cutting out the center of this one and mounting it on the back side of the cupcake so I can use the large cupcake by itself! Love this stamp! It's so on my list of must haves :)

And, A BIG "Thank You" to the convention demo's for posting such great info for those of us drooling for information!! Check back later and I'll post more details that I find while blog surfing some more... hehehe, I'm like a kid in a candy store!!
