Quickutz Pumpkin, Card

In todays card I'm sharing my fall festive mood & with a Birthday card!!


I was inspired by the card I'll share with you tomorrow. Lately I've been going back to basics, playing with tools which have been collecting dust. I've always adored the little quickutz pumpkin & I hope you do too.

Scrapbook LO

A few weeks ago, at the beach, I completed several scrapbook LO's. This is one of my faves. Still cropin' from our NY vacation!



One of the many reason why I love this LO is because I used memorabilia from the trip: metro cards & the actual map we used to navigate through Manhattan. And, of course, journaling! Any time I am able to make Euphemia work it makes me feel better about spending so much time on a single LO! Seems like in the beginning of sbing I managed to use more day to day receipts, maps, post cards, etc... Thanks for stopin' by!

Halloween, Envelopes

I fell into this idea! Man, I love it when that happens!! Okay, so since I was way ahead of the Halloween card making curve, I decided to use my left over Stampin Up! Halloween designer paper to line the inside of the envelopes. The paper is double sided. And, oh my! I discovered that the images showed through the sheerness of the Stampin Up! envelopes, and from the outside of the card it appears as if each envelope is softly "pre-printed" with matching Halloween images!! Take a lookey:



Lining envelopes is not as hard as it may seem. Simply trace your envelope on-top of the pp of your choice. Cut inside the drawn lines. Insert the paper to ensure that the paper does not cover the sticky on the envelope that you will lick to close the envelope. Use your glue stick to apply the pp side you want to show on the outside of the envelop. Slide the pp into the envelope using the dry side of the pp (not the gluey side because it will immediately stick to the envelope and not move deep enough into the envelope). Fold the flap over to crease the pp. Trim any edges from flap. Finally glue the top onto the flap and re-crease several times. Vwa-La!! TIPS: if you want to create the "pre-printed" envelope technique- - make sure you are using double sided patterned paper and sheer envelopes! Because, as you have probably figured out by now, this will only work with sheer envelopes! :)

Halloween 3, Card

A few weeks ago DH and I got the final pieces to our Halloween costume. This will be the first year in AGES that either of us has dressed up. And, to go along with the festive atmosphere I completed the last of my Halloween cards. This simple yet striking card is spotted on page 60 of the "Stamp It Card" magazine. It is a Paper Crafts Magazine special stamp magazine, and if you don't have your copy run to find it! Lots of other neat ideas just waiting to be "stamp-lifted"~ just like this one!!



Recipe
Stampin Up Card stock: Tangerine (in-color 08), basic black, whisper white
SU PP: Halloween design paper
Ink: stayz-on
Other: White signo pen, brads, corner rounder, Inkadinkado rubber stamp

This card is a size LARGE finished card size: 5x7. Stampin Up! has the perfect card stock with the skulls! I can't wait to send this one to my niece!

Halloween, Card

Hello crafty people! :) I exercised the left side of my brain today with a little forward motion in my craft room! hehhee, created some Halloween cards that I will share with you over the next few days. The card inspiration came directly out of the "Stamp It! Cards" magazine. Have you seen the recent issue? I had to visit 4 LSS & 3 Barnes & Nobles before I found my copy. I'm putting it to good use because I used 2 of the Halloween cards as inspiration for this card (and the one for tomorrow). I did not steer off course from the original designs~ sometimes it is just fun to follow along and copy, copy, copy!

This one is similar to the one on page 86 of the mag. The owl is different, but not much else :) I was first attracted to the oblong shape of the card. To get this shape instead of cutting the 8.5x11 card stock in half width wise, cut it down the center length wise! Easy peasey, and it gives you a different look. Another reason I liked this card is because it allowed me to use my own owl stamp that I already had in my collection. LUB those owls!!

Odd Image, UPS

So, this past Friday I looked out the window to see this sight:

I am not sure what they were doing, but I couldn't help but run to get my camera because it sure looks like one of my deliveries caused some kinda chaos! ROFLOL, I love UPS and I love it when they ring my doorbell. And, having two right outside my house was like a lucky sign or something (especially since they were parked oddly)

Tomorrow I am on my way to Florida! Planning on getting a little R&R and Scrapbooking! Thanks for visiting my site and I'll be back shortly to share more cards and craftiness! I've got quite a few more ideas but just not enough time~ so, Y'all take care and see 'ya in about a weeks time!
