Window Dressing, Card

This stamp set is one of the NEW Level 3 Hostess sets for the 08-09 Fall/Winter Catalog. I made a few cards for some friends who recently moved~ as congratulations cards. Putting this one together made me feel creative! Gotta Love it when that happens! Also, I was inspired to create a faux house side from the split coast stampers gallery.

To create the faux siding I pulled YoYo yellow craft ink across the Whisper White Card stock. This created some grainy wood look. Using a darker shade marker I drew on the lines of the siding and added two nail heads.

To create the window I stamped the image on white paper, colored the shudders and cut out the window and the bottom window pane. Glued the window to the yellow siding, cut out the bottom window pane again, and a third time when it was all glued to the blue card. Through the window I glued the decorative image (cat, flowers, girl) directly on the inside and on top of the greetings.
