December Hostess Club Projects

The year is almost over, but not with out one final Stampin' Up! Hostess Club crafting night before the New Year! I have gotten a kick out of creating projects for my Stampin' Up friends to make. Because we are meeting so close to Christmas, I decided to have projects that may be a helpful addition to their gift giving plans. I thought it was too late to be starting a Christmas card but perfect timing for gift tags & gift treat favors.

The first project is a simple tag made from a paper rosette. Paper Rosettes seem to be all the rage in crafting. Stampin' Up has recently released a score tool. And, using it certainly helped evenly space the score lines for the folds. Also, I couldn't help but add some Champagne Glass sparkle to the outer edge.
The second project is a chap stick holder. And, it is very simple to do! The Chap stick is the star of the project! I have an entire collection next to my bed side table (I am not joking, I am a Chap stick addict). The cover is held close by the ribbon which is secured under the back DSP and wraps around the pop dotted "Do not open..."punch.
Initially in planning this project I was going to use that flavored chap stick (comes in cola, cotton candy, cereal flavors, etc.) but because the hostess group is a bunch of ladies I thought they would prefer a more refined chap stick so I chose - Aquafina-- it also comes in flavors (but very subtle), gives a nice minty feel to the lips & is more adult in appearance (very sleek)! Yes, I put a lot of thought into chap stick (remember, I am addicted to chap sticks!!)
The third project is a Candy Treat Favor Twist. What is that exactly? Well, let me show you... Another simple project! It is filled with green & red M&M candy.
I had a lot of fun making these three projects. I only hope the Hostess Club likes them as much as I do!
