Tea Cup, Card

I'm here! yes, I'm back!! I've been waiting for the wave of mojo to show it's beautiful face. And, I feel it has been worth the wait I hope you will agree! I created todays card awhile ago but didn't manage to take a picture of it to share until yesterday.

I will start with my July card created for the card swap group. The theme was "Girls day"...ladies night out, feminine, friends, etc. And, I must say I loved all the cards the swap group created! I knew immediately I wanted to do something tea related (my other hobby- the art of tea)and, paper piecing- which I have not done in a loooong time! I created this cute little cup using Basic Grey paper pack. Also, I incorporated my most recent hobby- - hand embroidery!! I used the back stitch to free hand the steam coming out of the cup.

To create the cup, I drew a cup on typing paper and then made seam allowances & cut the individual parts out to use as a pattern. Used the pattern pieces to draw out the pieces on the perspective color pp and glued all the parts together! It took some time but I think it was worth it.

Thanks for looking!
See ya back tomorrow for MORE!!!
