Just Buzin' By, Card

OH, I had FUN making this card! This SU stamp set is in the new catalog and it was one of my first purchases {FROM THE CATALOG}! I HAD to have it as soon as I saw it! And, I am not disappointed! I got the idea from browsing the gallery at my favorite split coast stampers site. It is one of the few cards, that I have ever made, that didn't require 1.) ribbon 2.) matting! IT is ALL stamping, water color pencils & stickles!

Stampin Up Stamp set: Just Buzin' By
OTHER: 1-1/2 inch square punch, little square cuttlebug embossing folders, stickles, Water color pencils, SU Whisper White card stock, Stayz-on Chestnut brown ink.

Remember, when using water color techniques use stayz-on so your ink won't smear. Also, recently I learned a NEW (to me) technique in using water color pencils. Thanks Archivers!! Basically scribble your colors on a piece of white card stock and use it to grab the color from. I have found this quicker than coloring in each image and then going over it with the water brush. It saves a step. And, I find it easier to make the images look more like a true water color image.

To punch the squares, I punched the right one and left one then with my xact-o knife I traced a square in the center and punched it out. The cuttle bug square embossing folders wouldn't fit into the center square so I just hand punched holes around the center square.
